The transformation in the Main Hall has involved careful work by our team of artisans.
The team took down the original canvas panels on the ceiling over the grand staircase. Over the years, the finish was covered with several layers of beige and cream paint. They restored them with new canvas, and then applied aluminum leafing and an amber glaze, creating warm, shiny finish.
They also painted the walls and restored the beautiful patterned oak stairs to their original beauty.
This timelapse video below gives you a glimpse of the effort that it has taken to bring this room back to how it looked in 1919.
